Our cousin (and nephew) Lloyd just left yesterday after a two week visit.  Although his time with us was short, we made the best of it.  We got to do so many things!  The day he arrived we went snorkeling. A few days after that, he and Jerri had their SCUBA lessons. We also went on a number of hikes (here they are called boonie stomps).  The longest hike was to Sigua falls.  It takes an hour and a half to get there if you walk, but we made it in about an hour.  Only three of us actually went all the way to the falls, and we only had a few minutes to swim before getting back. It still made for a memorable experience.  Not all we  did the same things because of school.  Lloyd and Jerri went to a cave one day, and lost pond on another.  Sometimes they did two hikes in a day.
Hopefully, he will come back a visit us in the near future, so we can have even more fun adventures.

Lunar Eclipse

We got to see the eclipse from our back yard! At 7:00 PM, the moon rose, fully eclipsed. We got to see the last half.

Sabbath Afternoon, Decmember 17

Our afternoon began at the peace park memorial, which was the headquarters of the Japanese army while on Guam. It was there where a Japanese general and his men took their own lives, which was an honorable way to die, rather than being captured by the Americans.  After the peace park, we went to the Air force base and went to the beach.  You have to have special clearance to get on the base.  We had an awesome time collecting crabs, shells, and splashing in the waves.  It wasn't until after we left the beach that Bryce realized he forgot his sunglasses. Some of us went back to the beach after dark to go get them.  Bryce ran down the beach, and there they were, sitting on a rock.
After the beach and supper we went to the "Rota walk" which is called that because it is on Rota drive.  All the houses are covered in lights, and there are different tables where you can get things like popsicles, snow cones, or trinkets like bracelets and glow sticks.  The walk ended at the general's house, where there was a brass band playing familiar tunes such as "Let it Snow" and Blue Christmas."  Over all, it made for a very exciting day.
